  Building a barebones kit is a great way to know what's in your computer. If you really want to understand your computer, and know that the components that make up your computer are quality merchandise, then a bare-bones kit is the best way to go.
  Barebones means just that - they make up the bare essentials of hardware to build a computer from scratch. Kits are available from just the basic hardware - hard drive, processor, RAM, Motherboard, Case and Power Supply - to more complete kits that would include the basics plus extras like more RAM, CD RW, DVDs, DVD RW, key board, mouse, speakers, printers or other peripherals. Of course, most barebones kits come without software so you will have to install it once the machine is built.
Since you are building a new machine it would be advisable to buy new systems or upgrades to existing software. Buying OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) systems or upgrades to software that you already own is the best and most affordable way to approach software purchasing.
